Our regular look at Salesforce Commerce Cloud focuses on an overview of Einstein Intelligence.
What is it?
Commerce Cloud Einstein and its machine learning algorithms are the magic behind the personalised experience you can give each shopper. Einstein lets you offer a more relevant experience across channels, without requiring you as a retailer to invest heavily in additional technology or operations.
Einstein intelligence powers three key Commerce Cloud capabilities:
- Einstein Product Recommendations: this nifty feature uses machine learning to make recommendations that personalise a consumer’s shopping experience that can be placed on the Home page, PDP and basket for example.
- Einstein Predictive Sort: with Predictive Sort, brands can automatically personalise the order of products shown on each search or category page, or make it a part of your current set of sorting rules.
- Einstein Commerce Insights: with Einstein Commerce Insights, you can choose key items in their inventory and learn which products shoppers most commonly purchase along with them.
Why do I care?
For product recommendations, as it's a powerful part of the platform that carries no extra cost, you should test it even if you have an existing solution. If you don’t have existing recommendations it's a true easy win.
Predictive Sort is something all retailers should try and only requires a small amount of setup work to test whether you can improve your sorting rules further with a personalised element.
Commerce Insights piggybacks on the Einstein data to provide some rich analytics on product relationships for analysis and merchandising action. It's a reporting dashboard that’s very easy to use.
