Our regular look at Salesforce Commerce Cloud this week gives you a brief overview of the Half 2 Roadmap.
What is it?
The roadmap for Commerce Cloud is one of the things I have a minor obsession with - what is coming next and how we can take advantage of it. As a result, I would like to bring you some of the stuff that's coming up in the next 6 months of the platform.
Why do I care?
By knowing what's coming, you can ensure that some of the best bits that will work for your brand are in your own roadmap when they appear in Commerce Cloud. Here's a few things that are coming in the next half that I am excited about:
- Einstein visual search (pilot) - take a picture of something you want and Einstein will search for the best match on your catalog. Great for all kinds of retailers.
- Einstein voice search (pilot) - using Einstein to convert voice queries into search phrases that return great results. With Alexa and other voice protocols getting more popular it's great to see this coming out of the platform.
- Dynamic product categorisation (beta) - rules based assignment of products to storefront catalogs. If your ERP provides a set of data rich enough, you can set multiple rules to auto categorise products, saving a lot of XML or Business Manager time.
What do I need to know?
If you want to know more you can email me and I will be happy to answer your questions without any need to worry about getting sold to or chased: just here to help.
