Our MD, Adrian Lomas competed in the Knutsford Great Race last Sunday, riding 95 laps of the 1 km course (or 59 miles) on his antique penny farthing and raising money for disaster relief charity, Shelterbox.

It was a great day, with over 5000 spectators in attendance. Adrian’s effort earned him 5th place in what was a hotly contested race and he’s very grateful to everyone who sponsored him or came along to cheer him on.

Only run every 10 years, the day also features other races on antiquarian machines in the shape of the Hobby Horse Challenge Race and the Boneshaker World Championship Dash. You can find out more here.

The winner of our competition to guess how many laps Adrian would complete was Andrew Gillott from British Cycling. Well done Andrew!
