Giving Red Bull Wings

Red Bull require little introduction. Whether it's from the energy drink, Formula 1 team or the
huge range of other adrenalin-fuelled sports they're into, you'll know them as one of the
 world's most exciting brands.

Their online portfolio is vast, with hundreds of independently branded websites. We were asked to radically evolve the online presence of Red Bull X-Fighters, Red Bull Cliff Diving and Red Bull Flying Bach, boosting engagement for each.

The redesigned sites needed to be fresh and exciting to reflect the nature of the sports, and UX improved to help visitors from all over the world find the latest information in their own language, buy tickets and engage on social platforms.

From wireframes to design

Each project began with scoping to define precise specifications. Our user experience team held wireframing sessions, sketching ideas for content and layout, and suggestions were made for new tools and widgets on each site to enhance engagement. The design process saw us getting under the skin of each brand to define target audiences, and create visual styles and tones of voice.

We built all sites with FatWire - Red Bull's existing enterprise-level CMS - bringing the visuals to life, structuring content and integrating third party data. Red Bull is a huge brand, with teams all over the world managing their digital channels. As such, we worked within their existing processes to ensure the sites were designed, built and launched as smoothly as possible.

The improved designs are helping with ticket sales and effective social integration is spreading the word and boosting all-important levels of engagement.

In addition, Red Bull X-Fighters' design style has been adopted for promo campaigns around the world.
