The challenge
The Outward Bound Trust have been providing adventurous learning experiences to school groups, companies and individuals for almost 70 years. They needed to find a distinctive voice for their advertising, to help cut through the noise of their competitors and communicate what makes them different.
The solution
Outward Bound courses aren't holidays. They are of course amazing fun, but they leave participants with real benefits such as self-confidence, self-belief, motivation and teamwork skills that last a lifetime. So how do you convey fun and gravitas at the same time? We created a tone of voice that uses humour underpinned with serious messages that suits the brand perfectly. To date we've produced a memorable press campaign aimed at teachers, with highly targeted copy and stunning art direction, and emarketing campaigns aimed at getting big corporates to dig deep and support this very worthwhile charity.
The results
These engaging campaigns are creating quite a splash in the adventure experience market, setting The Outward Bound Trust apart from their competitors and receiving excellent response rates from prospects.
