The challenge

Fletcher are something of a legend in the watersports world and have been producing beautifully crafted speedboats since the early 60s. With fans such as James Bond himself - Roger Moore - they were once the only boat to be seen in. But times change and Fletcher had more recently come up against huge competition from foreign manufacturers. They asked us to look at bringing their brand and marketing up to date to help get their sales back on track.

The solution

With such an illustrious heritage, it was essential that the new brand and marketing should reflect the past, but also help them build for the future. And with the wakeboarding fraternity making up an important part of the target audience, striking a balance between old and new became an important part of the design brief. Key elements from the existing brand were retained and developed to appeal to a younger target audience. Impactful advertising was then created to launch the new Wakesport range and the brand rolled out across marketing materials such as an innovative lanyard brochure and banners for the Southampton Boat Show. A completely new website was also developed to help customers choose and configure their ideal boat.

The results

The rebrand is bringing Fletcher to the attention of a new generation of customers, communicating the fact that quality never goes out of fashion. With the powerful new website, this is helping Fletcher raise their profile and grow their business.
