The challenge

Manchester based communications provider Active were facing the kind of marketing problem every business wants - they had outgrown their brand. The company's rapid growth providing a comprehensive mix of mobiles, landlines, broadband, vehicle tracking and IT solutions had left their brand playing catch-up. It no longer reflected their offering or their experience, making them look like a small provider.

The solution

We took on the entire Active account ensuring that a cohesive approach could be taken to helping grow their business. This started with competitor and consumer research projects to give us clear insight of their market position and why clients were choosing them. The subsequent marketing plan set out strategy for the coming year, starting with a complete rebrand. From our research, we had identified that Active's main USP is their comprehensive offering, backed by an enviable history of customer service; in short, they promise a lot and actually deliver, unlike many others in their industry. This is communicated with the positioning statement, "not just talk". Their personal approach is reflected visually by the engaging speech bubble logo, font and colours.

The new brand was implemented across a range of marketing materials including stationery, brochures, signage, website and emarketing. We are now helping Active get their message out there across a number of different channels.

The results

The new brand and marketing has been very well received by Active's customers and suppliers alike. It not only reflects where Active is as a business today, but will also grow alongside them in the future, with the help of our ongoing marketing campaigns.
