Adrian's passion for effective marketing solutions is matched only by his passion for great customer service. A desire to create an agency that provides both in equal amounts led him to establish Blueleaf in 1999 and continues to underpin everything we do. A pedigree of working with household names such as IBM, Vauxhall and Greenalls makes Adrian ideally placed to advise organisations of any size, on all aspects of their marketing and brand development.
He is also non-executive marketing director of Pictures to Share, a Community Interest Company set up to help people living with dementia. In addition, he is a Senior Leader with the Anthony Robbins Foundation, helping others to achieve their goals. Away from the office, Adrian enjoys tormenting his leg muscles by riding stages of the Tour de France or taking to the skies in his microlight.
About Denise Lomas
Quality is a small word with big meaning for Denise and a subject she is passionate about. That's what makes her the perfect person to take on the responsibility of defining and implementing the processes and procedures that ensure our services are delivered on time, on budget and to exceptionally high creative standards. Having managed the IBM brand for the UK and Europe before setting up Blueleaf with Adrian, she works closely with Chris to ensure client's work is always on brand and with Sarah to ensure our own marketing is not forgotten. Away from Blueleaf, Denise is kept busy juggling motherhood and keeping flexible with hours of Nia and Pilates.
About Rob Smith
Rob has been involved in digital media, pretty much since the phrase was coined. He's that rarest of animals, a 'techy' who's as good with people as he is with computers. Marrying up inspirational design with superb functionality is what Rob does best. He has built a great depth of experience of what does and doesn't work on the web and is always on the cutting-edge of development techniques that change at a dizzying speed. Talking of which, when Rob tears himself away from the computer screen, he enjoys trying to find new ways of making his already very fast car go even faster.
About Chris Jones
Chris's approach to creativity is one of mixing compelling concepts with sound strategy. His role is to inspire the creative team to produce work that not only looks great, but also delivers real results for clients. Chris loves nothing more than a killer piece of copy combined with stunning art direction. When he's not dreaming up great ideas for clients, he's got his head in the clouds worrying livestock from his hot air balloon.
About Sarah Evans
Sarah's greatest talent (apart from her ability to juggle a to-do list as long as your arm) is her chameleon-like ability to put herself in the shoes of clients. Hardly surprising as for many years she was one herself, responsible for commissioning and managing all manner of marketing materials for the HBOS Group. Banking's loss is Blueleaf's gain. Sarah approaches everything with the sort of attention to detail that ensures projects are successful on every level. When she's not looking after clients, Sarah can be found down the front at muddy weekend festivals, giving her lungs a good workout.
About Debbie Wilkes
Debbie is a lady of many talents, acting as support to Anna on the production side of things and Sarah with account management. She's also the person you're most likely to speak to if you call the office. A good job then that she comes from the busy environment of a leading promotions company, where she managed brands such as Barclaycard, Toshiba and Hotpoint. When she's not looking after us and our clients, she enjoys blowing the cobwebs away walking her two dogs and indulging in a spot of retail therapy.
About Duncan Watts
Duncan's role may be a two-headed one, but both require the same attention to detail. As Studio Manager, he is responsible for the scheduling and delivery of projects on time, every time. As a member of the creative team, he can be found making the sort of fine adjustments that turn a piece of design from good to great. He also has an unnerving knowledge of typefaces and can spot the difference between Arial and Helvetica at a hundred paces. When he's not designing, he can be found dreaming of a time when the blue side of Liverpool will be dominant in Europe.
About Adele Sparke
Adele is equally at home designing for print or web and what she doesn't know about repro isn't worth knowing. If you ever need a crystal clear explanation of the difference between CMYK and spot colour, Adele's your girl. She's passionate about creating design that goes beyond clients' expectations and fulfils briefs to perfection. When she's not in the driving seat of an Apple Mac, she's out getting plastered in mud on her mountain bike.
About Chris Wood
Chris 'Woody' Wood joined Blueleaf full-time after impressing us on a work placement. He works across the board producing concepts, design and artwork, supporting the rest of the studio team and is passionate about creating beautiful design that gets results for clients. His hobbies include making everyone else feel old by playing guitar and drums in a heavy metal band and eating oatcakes, like every good son of Stoke.
About Joseph McDermott
Joseph's been tinkering with computers since he was tall enough to reach the keyboard, so when the web came along, he was well placed to learn everything he could about it, a never-ending commitment to this day. Joseph, a Zend Certified PHP5 Engineer, is always at the forefront of new web technologies and is a specialist in building sites with huge amounts of content that generate huge amounts of sales. Away from the web, Joseph can be found thinking he could do a better job of managing Everton.
About Peter Smith
Peter's passionate about developing accessible and user-friendly websites. He's a master at Javascript, XHTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL and lots of other terribly impressive sounding acronyms. In his role as an accredited eBusiness adviser, he has helped over 250 businesses to be successful on the web. Away from the screen, he spends his time thinking about playing hockey (his career was tragically cut short when he hurt his knee a bit), baking cakes for the Blueleaf studio and playing air piano.
About Anna Carter
If you're already a Blueleaf client or about to become one, chances are you will have already spoken to Anna. She's the glue that binds us all together and the grease that makes everything run smoothly from day to day. With her encyclopaedic knowledge of Blueleaf projects, budgets and deadlines, she's the person we (and our clients) turn to when they need to know something important in a hurry. When she's not playing mum to us, she's busy being a football widow, which isn't as bad as it sounds, as it gives her lots of time to go shopping.
