Interim Management Accountant

What the role is, what's expected of it and what success means


Blueleaf are a leading e­commerce digital agency, located just outside of Chester. We're currently looking for an Interim Management Accountant to cover maternity leave.


What you’re accountable for: 

  • Controlling the company cashflow 
  • Providing month end analysis and reporting to the Board 
  • Day to day running of accounts functions 

What’s expected of you As a Management Accountant you are expected to: 

  • Live Blueleaf’s Values and actively focus on our Vision, Mission and Purpose 
  • Daily cashflow control
  • Day to day running of the accounts payable function and overseeing the accounts receivable function
  • Month end analysis and reporting 
  • Weekly WIP meetings with delivery team 
  • Payroll 
  • Quarterly VAT Reconciliations 
  • Ad hoc analysis and reporting as/when requested 

What you should expect of Blueleaf You should also expect things from the organisation, which are detailed below: 

  • The support and time of our MD 
  • The support of the directors, from time to time, to help you push through initiatives
  • You will report to the Managing Director 

What skills do you need? For this role, skills are crucial and you will need:

  • Sound financial background 
  • CIMA or equivalent level qualifications 
  • Working knowledge of Xero and Workflow Max ideal 
  • Working knowledge of Sage Payroll ideal 
  • Experience running Revenue Recognition within a service sector industry would be highly beneficial
