During your first few days we will do everything we can to help you settle in and feel at home. We have a great culture here and the team are always happy to help so if you have any questions, just ask.

What happens on your first day

 Kate Shepherd - Quick tour

Our Front of House Manager Kate will give you a quick tour of the office, making sure you know where the essentials are such as the coffee machine, toilets, tuck shop (of course) and the fire exits.

Monday morning meeting

Does exactly what is says on the tin! The team get together to discuss our weekends and the week ahead. Often Rob will share a financial update so we always know how the agency is doing against our targets. You'll get to meet the whole team and hear about priorities for the next few days.

Pete Smith - Getting you up and running

Our Lead Front End Developer Pete, will help get you up and running on your computer, giving you a brief overview of systems we use like email, Slack and JIRA.

Kay Corcoran & Kate Shepherd - HR bits

Office Manager Kay and Kate (who you'll have already met) will talk you through the HR bits, like contracts and how to book holiday, as well as introducing you to our online HR system SAS Protect.

Kate Welch - Marketing chat

Marketing Manager Kate will give you an overview of our Marketing and run through Capsule (our CRM system), as well as showing you how we keep and record data. You'll work closely with Kate and will no doubt spend quite a bit of time together over your first few days.

Marketing meeting

Kate, Adrian and Rob would love you to join their weekly marketing meeting which will be a great opportunity to hear about things that are currently in progress for Blueleaf.

12.00 noon

We can order lunch in for you or someone will be happy to take you into the village - either way, we promise you won't go hungry.

Rob Smith & Adrian Lomas
- Who Blueleaf are

Rob and Adrian will tell you a bit about the history of Blueleaf - how we started, how we've grown and our vision for the future. This meeting is also your chance to ask any questions and generally get to know the company a little better.

Sarah Hughes - Scheduling

Sarah is our Traffic Manager who's been with Blueleaf for a rather long time, so it's worth meeting her just to get more of a feel for the company. She will also run through scheduling with you, so you know the process should you ever need design work for your sales opportunities.

We will get you set up with...

We use Gmail for our work email: it ties in nicely with Calendar and Drive. Once you have logged into your account we will send you the details for all the other apps we use.

Your email address is

Slack is the system we use for all our internal communications. Slack uses "channels" rather than direct emails which dramatically cuts down the number of emails we send and receive and keeps everyone in the loop.

SAS Protect

SAS Protect is our online HR system. It's private so nobody can log into your system except you and our HR team. You can look up our policies, view your contract, book your holidays and manage sickness.

Kay will send you your log-in; have a look around and let her know if you have any questions. Once you're happy you've got all the information you need, please sign your contract and tick the boxes to let us know you've read our HR policies.

Please can you do this by Monday 19th October.

Capsule CRM

Capsule is where we keep track of all the people we meet. Whether they're clients, partners, potential recruits or peers we record them by popping them in Capsule and tagging them appropriately.

This is so we know who we've contacted, when and why. Marketing Manager Kate has a 'Capsule bible' which she'll share with you - this lets you know all the tags we use and what they mean.
