Everyday Cycling rides into town
We’ve just completed an extensive web project (one of our biggest to date) for British Cycling ‘ http://www.everydaycycling.com. This initiative has been developed as part of British Cycling’s vision to increase participation in cycling as a sport and as an active recreation.
Everyday Cycling is about getting the nation active on bikes by providing fun, inspiring and exciting cycling opportunities and incentives for people of all ages and abilities. It is also an integral part of the Tesco ambition to help get two million people active in events which they will organise or support in the run up to the 2012 Olympics.
The site is crammed full of information designed to promote, inform, encourage and motivate the public to get involved in cycling. It features an exclusive registered users area, where people can access exciting interactive features, including a calendar function which allows users to search for and enter a broad range of leisure cycling events. An activity log allows users to record all of their riding times, from the daily commute right through to long distance challenge events.
It will have its official launch in mid July with a huge amount of PR and the involvement of Gordon Brown, Everyday Sport and Sport England. The benefits to British Cycling have already been enormous attracting funding, sponsorship and plenty of interest. In addition to providing great PR, it’s also enabling British Cycling to promote their association on an international level.
Blueleaf have worked closely with British Cycling for the past 8 years and have helped to dramatically increase membership and interest. Using our experience of the sports industry, we are now looking for other sporting associations who have a vision for the future of their sport on both amateur and professional levels and who can see the benefit of creating a dedicated website the general public can visit for advice and motivation.
If you wish to find out more about how Blueleaf can assist you in any areas relating to your marketing and online presence please do not hesitate to call Adrian Lomas or Ben Martin on 01829 260 600.
