Nurturing new talent

Winning new clients and having ambitious plans for business growth is one part of running a successful agency, but you also need an excellent team to fulfill the work. With this in mind, Blueleaf has been working hard to build links with local universities to promote the digital industry and nurture new talent.

Pot Noodles with QR code for students at Manchester Digital's Talent Day

Last month, Adrian and Kay took part in Manchester Digital’s Talent Day at the Town Hall, an event that attracted over 1000 students and 40 businesses from the region’s digital sector. It was an opportunity for the digital community to shape skills development across the region and keep the next generation of digital talent within the North West. It was hugely successful for everyone involved and we gave away a lot of Pot Noodles!

Following on from this, Adrian is spending a day at the University of Chester this week, talking to final year students about agency life at Blueleaf and finding out what their next steps are. We hope to find some talented individuals to join Blueleaf’s new internship programme for web designers and developers that we’ll be launching later this year.

The digital sector continues to grow as technology moves on and we want to ensure our homegrown talent feels that they can stay in the North West, with plenty of opportunities open to them.

Thanks for your comment Jamie. We would certainly consider the new NFC technology where this could be suitable for our clients.
