Our regular look at Salesforce Commerce Cloud focuses on an overview of the 18.2 Release.

What is it?

Every six weeks or so Salesforce releases a new update for the platform with additional features and stability improvements. For this update we have three main updates:

  • Catalog Module
  • Einstein Configurator in Lightning Experience
  • Beta: New Storefront Toolkit

Why do I care?

The new Catalog Module allows better visibility into product data (inventory, pricing, variations) when searching within a category and improves your merchandisers’ productivity in managing product catalogs and categories.

Einstein Configurator got a new look and feel with this update and it has never been easier to make quick updates and changes.

The New Storefront Toolkit is a total overhaul of its previous version and improves the user experience as it is built on the new Lightning design.

What do I need to know?

If you want you can read the full changelog here.

Version 18.2 is generally available on both SIG and PIG instances and the Storefront Toolkit feature is in beta.
