What is it?

Commerce Cloud Order Management is a Software-as-a-Service Order Management System that manages the entire order lifecycle, from accepting orders via multiple sales channels, to payment processing, allocation and shipping via multiple fulfillment channels, and handling returns and exchanges.

Order Management integrates with Digital to manage orders that originate in Digital. Digital for those who don’t know is what Salesforce call the ‘normal’ ecommerce platform. Many of you will know that Digital was never designed for heavy duty order management and this product enables you do be much more sophisticated in your order handling.

Why do I care?

You might not! Many of our clients are looking for better ways to manage their orders, especially if you have in store tablets, returns and refunds, click and collect pick ups and so on, all to handle. Order Management is a significant undertaking to implement with your back end systems just like any new piece of software but the efficiency savings over so many orders can make it a very worthwhile endeavour.
