Blueleaf CEO Adrian Lomas has used his Chester-based networking group to raise £600 for Claire House Children's Hospice.

Claire House is a remarkable charity providing a home-from-home environment and end-of-life care for children and young adults living with life-limiting medical conditions. The charity cares for children from across Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales, West Lancashire and the Isle of Man.

Adrian set up his networking group “CHIMPs” which stands for Chester’s Innovative Marketing People, 2 years ago and they meet every two months to share support and business advice. The group, which includes other local businesses - de Winter, Reckless and R1 Digital among others - have been collating funds left over from their meeting and saving it for Claire House.  Since early 2014, they are proud to have generated £600 for the hospice.

Angella Rawsthorne , Corporate Fundraiser at Claire House commented:

Claire House is a wonderful place. The young people and children who use our services are expected to pass away before their rightful time and we can’t stop that but we can make their time with us as special as possible, creating memories for their families to last forever. When I see the children and families using our services it melts my heart and I feel honoured to be part of the charity. Fundraising is imperative to Claire House being able to do the crucial work we do. So thank you to Adrian and his networking group for raising money to support the hospice.

Adrian Lomas, Blueleaf CEO added:

Claire House is a remarkable charity and it’s wonderful to be able to support them. It’s staggering how much a little can soon add up, so I’d encourage any other networking groups to consider a similar mechanic. We look forward to supporting the charity further in 2015.
