Red Bull BC One is the most important one-on-one B-Boy competition in the world. Every year, thousands of dancers from across the globe compete for a chance to represent at the World Final. Only sixteen B-Boys a year will earn the right to enter into an all-out battle on the Red Bull BC One stage, with just one being crowned the champion.

Hannah, Project Manager for Red Bull, explains more about BC One and how Blueleaf came to be involved.......

Red Bull BC One started in 2004 in Biel, Switzerland, and the World Final has since traveled across the globe - Europe, South America, Africa, USA and Asia - with the 2016 world final action being held in Nagoya, Japan.

Last year, Blueleaf were approached by our friends at Red Bull regarding the BC One website, with the aim of creating a fresh new look for the site, with infrastructure more feasibly able to manage the ever-growing content and events housed by BC One.

As a result, the team here at Blueleaf began to investigate the requirements for the project and the feasibility of adding yet another arm to our growing 'Red Bull Platform' - currently host to 8 other exciting and impressive Red Bull world final championships, including Red Bull Racing, Red Bull Air Race, Red Bull Crashed Ice and Red Bull Cliff Diving; to name just four.

As is so familiar to those of us who know agency life - delivery was tight but with some major support from our incredible traffic manager Sarah and her magic rework of our schedule, alongside the flexibility and ease of our Red Bull platform, we embraced the exciting prospect of delivering BC One with a refreshed site that both Blueleaf and Red Bull could be proud of.

The revamped site makes use of Blueleaf's Red Bull platform features, allowing the provision for articles, videos, galleries, featured content and events with coordinated timing states that can trigger all kinds of different displays and appearances, not to mention the "live" functionality that has been so well received on so many of the Red Bull world championship events.
